2 weeks after I first spotted them, they are now the size of small basketballs...

The one in the middle of the photo below has started to shrivel up and die, so I pruned it off. The other two seem to be growing well.

And this one, likewise, the size of a small basketball...

And here we have a couple of new ones. The one on top is maybe softball-sized, the one right below it a little smaller.

Sounds like you're going to need some help eating all that watermelon! I'm gonna guess Phil will have his fill come deer season.
S.P. I think you just might have to change the title of your blog to "books, movies, golf, fruit"
Back when I first created this, I didn't know what to call it or what I would end up talking about, so I just tossed out the first things that came to mind.
I think I've only blogged about what I was reading twice maybe, and only once that I can remember about a movie!
The most accurate title would probably be "Whatever the heck I want to talk about...!"

I hope the melons are still there when deer season rolls around. The first frost will kill the vine, but if I bring the melons in before that they will last a while longer in the house...
